Ulul' Azmi Prophets (اولو العزم)

 



Ulul Azmi are the prophet who approve the most challenges and sufferings, but they remain steadfast, patient, and continue to struggle until they have success to carry out a task from Allah.

The purpose:

To help Muslim gain knowledge about the life of our Prophet and the moral lessons which Islam teaches through the Prophet.

The Prophets demonstrated the best possible way that we can be blessed with Allah's great mercy, and despite the difficulties faced, they stood firm in their faith with utmost patience and perseverance.


The 5 Ulul' Azmi Prophets

1. Prophet Nuh As

Prophet Nuh AS is a Prophet who was sent to the Bani Rasib in the area around the Euphrates and Tigris (Iraq) today. Within 950 years of carrying out the Syiar of the religion. But only a few became his followers. Even his son named Canaan became one of the people who against him. Finally, Allah has ordered him to make a boat. His people laughed at him and also they considered his as an insane human being. In the end, his entire people were drowned by the floodwaters. While the Prophet Nuh and his followers survived after boarding the boat.

2.Prophet Ibrahim

Who is remind ourselves of the story behind Hajj.Ibrahim dreamt that Allah wished for him to sacrifice his son Isma’il. From his reccuring dream, Prophet Ibhraim (as) knew that this was a command from Allah Almighty. As an obedient servant of Allah, Ibrahim took his son Isma’il to Mount Arafat with a knife and rope in preparation for the sacrifice. He told young Isma’il of his intentions but when he raised the knife, Allah intervened and spoke to Ibrahim: he was not to sacrifice his son. This had merely been a test of his faith, devotion and submission to Allah. Instead, Isma’il (as) was replaced with a sacrificial animal

3. Prophet Musa As

The US Prophet Musa faced Pharaoh, a tyrannical and cruel King. Musa himself was an adopted son of Pharaoh, after being washed away in the Nile. And found by Pharaoh's wife which is also known as Asiah. Over the time, Musa grew into adulthood. He started doing Syiar. But Pharaoh rejected the teachings of the Prophet Musa, and even wanted to kill him until he had to run, leaving Pharaoh and his army until his stuck in the red sea. By a using of his stick he managed to split the Red Sea, while Pharaoh and his army sank.

4. Prophet Isa AS

Is a Prophet who was born without a father. However, due to the power of Allah SWT, Siti Mary became pregnant and giving birth to Prophet Isa AS. In the journey of his  Syiar he did confront the people who rejected all his teachings until there is a murder plan for him. But later, Judas was crucified because his face was changed to resemble the as Prophet Isa. Meanwhile, Prophet Isa As, has not died until now, because he was taken to heaven by Allah SWT.

5. Prophet Muhammad

Muhammad was the prophet and founder of Islam. Most of his early life was spent as a merchant. At age 40, he began to have revelations from Allah that became the basis for the Quran and the foundation of Islam. Muhammad found unflinching support in his wife and slowly began to attract followers. His strong monotheistic message angered many of the Meccan merchants and was ostracized in Mecca. Muhammed and his followers were eventually forced to emigrate from Mecca to Medina. Muhammad settled in Medina, building his Muslim community and gradually gathering acceptance and more followers. By 630, he had unified most of Arabia under a single religion. “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet.”
